NSF has validated bioanalytical panels to perform targeted analysis on a variety of sample matrices including liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry for chemical metabolites and inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry for targeted elemental metals analysis.

Chemical Metabolites

NSF has validated bioanalytical panels to perform targeted analysis on a variety of sample matrices. Utilizing liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry (LC-MS), our available panels for classes of chemical metabolites include:

  • Phenols and parabens panel, including bisphenol A (BPA)
  • Phthalates panel, analyzing for multiple plasticizer metabolites
  • Pesticides panel
  • Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) panel covering 8+ monohydroxylated metabolites
  • Polyfluorinated compounds (PFCs) panel
  • Smoking biomarkers panel covering analytes including hydroxycotinine, cotinine and nicotine

Our bioanalytical experts can also complete new method development for additional classes of chemicals or expand an existing panel. Contact us with your needs!

Elemental Metals

Working with a variety of sample matrices (including blood, urine and saliva) NSF utilizes inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) to perform targeted elemental metals analysis. Our metals scans cover over 20 elements, including arsenic, cadmium, lead and mercury. With NSF’s laboratory expertise, we are also able to complete new method development for additional matrices or expand our existing scan for specific metals.

Why Work With NSF?

NSF International uses detailed, quality-controlled analysis methods to provide you with the reliability you need in your sample analysis.  We help from the initial stages of study planning through execution and publication, partnering with researchers and confirming the quality of your targeted analysis.

NSF laboratories provide a wide range of testing, certification and technical services as well as human health risk assessments across all major industries. We operate more than 303,000 square feet of ISO/IEC 17025-accredited, state-of-the-art labs, including extensive instrumentation and technologies, in North America, Latin America, Europe and Asia.
